Merci McCoy is a faith-filled Catholic artist and dear friend of SOLT whose vibrant, prayerfully inspired paintings reflect her deep desire to make the invisible God visible through art. Rooted in the call of Pope St. John Paul II’s Letter to Artists, Merci sees her vocation as being one of God’s paintbrushes—drawing souls into the infinite ocean of divine beauty through wonder and awe. Her studio is a place of silence, prayer, and deep communion with the Lord, where she works in a spirit of humble gratitude for the gift entrusted to her. With each brushstroke, Merci seeks to echo the words of Christ in John 17:11: “so that they may be one just as we are.”
Her artwork, now available in print on the Our Lady of Corpus Christi website, serves as a visual prayer and an offering of praise and glory to the Father of Lights. Additionally, more of her work and story can be found on her personal website at mercedesoriginals.com. Merci was also recently featured on Shalom World; you can watch her inspiring video testimony here.
